我们访问的这位生活老师，是学生中深受欢迎的一位。她似乎有独到的秘诀能够在与学生们的朝夕相处中，赢得家长和学生的共同喜爱。

“你知道生活老师对学生，不仅仅是生活上的照顾，更多的，是帮助他们建立独立人格和良好的品行。这对他们的成长真的很重要。“她面对我的访问侃侃而谈，胸有成竹。

“面对学生我有几个原则，一是尊重他们，二是引导而非干涉，三是有耐心。我把与学生交流的内容分为三部分，生活、个人和学习。”

The House Parent we interviewed is the most welcomed one among the boarding houses, who seems to have unique methods to gain the respect from both parents and students.

‘House parents are more than just taking care of students, we are trying to help them build independent personality and good behavior, which is really important for their growth.’

‘I have several principles: The first one is to respect them, the other is to guide them rather than interfere them, and the third is to have patience. I divide the content of communication with students into three parts: life, personal and learning.’

“每个学生都是有自己的特色的，我不会去给一个学生定性，而是尊重他们的独特。一个一开始不受欢迎的学生，可能过几个月又会被大家接纳。了解一个人是需要时间的，对待学生，一定要有耐心，他们就像一把种子，你只要给他们时间，就会长成一棵棵大树。“

“有的学生性格有点内向，家长就会有点担心，但是其实她有很多的闪光点，被同学朋友所信赖，是一个很棒的孩子，那么为什么不给她一点时间去证明自己呢，如果真的出现问题，我也会选择引导她而非过多的干涉，在他们向我寻求帮助时，我会提供一些解决问题的思路，但是还是要他们亲自面对困难。”

‘Each student has their own characteristics. I'm not going to identify any individual student, but respect their uniqueness. It takes time to understand a person so that we need to be patient when getting along with students.’

‘Some parents are worried that children are a little introverted, but in fact, they have a lot of shining advantages. We need to give them time to prove themselves. If there was a problem, I would choose to guide them rather than interfere. When they ask me for help, I will provide some ideas to solve the problem, but they still have to face the difficulties by themselves.’

“每个学生都是独立的个体，有的孩子比较成熟，有的比较爱撒娇，甚至很希望你能抱抱她，给她一些亲密的安慰，不过我很希望能培养他们**‘内心自洽’，真正的精神独立。”

“学习上我们会起到督促的作用，比如监督他们的晚自习，有时，我也会去看看他们所学的东西，读一些他们在看的书，和他们交流感受。”

‘Every student is an independent individual, some mature, some love coquettish, some even hope you can hold her, give her some intimate console, but I hope to train them to learn "inner harmony" and real spiritual independence.’

‘We are playing a supervisory role in learning, such as supervising their self-study. Sometimes, I also go to see what they have learned, read some books they are reading, and share feelings with them.’

宿管员Housekeeper

宿管员主要负责照顾学生们的生活起居，谈起与孩子相处的时光，她们脸上是藏不住的笑意。

“早上要叫他们起床，一个一个地敲门，他们听到就会立刻起来。刚开始会有几个孩子赖床，要多叫几遍，现在都是叫一声就起，很乖。”

“起床后会提醒他们收拾房间，提醒他们天气、课程，带好上课用的东西。”阿姨停顿了一下，笑了笑“一遍一遍地叮嘱他们，磨叽得他们都烦了。有的孩子刚来的时候，房间乱的不行，我每次都要帮他整理，现在他会跑来跟我说，阿姨你看，我把床上整理的特别好，我进屋一看，说，你桌子没收拾。

Housekeepers are mainly responsible for taking care of the students in daily life.

‘I would wake them up in the morning, knocking the doors, and they would get up as soon as they heard me.’

‘After getting up, I will remind them to tidy up their rooms, remind them of the weather condition and bring essential stationeries. They are tired of being told repeatedly. Some dorms were very messy at the beginning of the term, I had to help them every time. But now they have developed a good habit of tidying their own rooms, often inviting me to review their dorms.’

“白天孩子们在上课，是不能进宿舍的，我会在宿舍中把卫生处理好，给饮水机消消毒，帮一些孩子烘衣服，他们上课回来很累啊，洗好衣服没时间烘了，就来跟我撒娇，我就偶尔帮他们一下。“

“晚上，下了晚自习，孩子们也要休息放松一下，我就会跟他们聊聊天。女孩子心思很细，比较敏感，但是也愿意和我说一点，有什么开心的事，有什么不开心的事，可能我给不了什么有用的建议，她们也会跟我说，谢谢你阿姨，跟你聊完感觉好多了。那个时候，就觉得特别开心。“

“我很喜欢在莱克顿，天天看着他们长大，很多孩子成熟了不少，我就把他们都当自己的孩子一样的。“说到这里，阿姨有点害羞地笑了，我们走在走廊中，风把学生的一张照片吹掉了，她连忙拾起，小心地订在墙上。

‘When children are in class during the day, I always clean up the boarding houses, disinfect the water dispensers. Since children are busy and focused on their studies, they have no time to dry their clothes after washing, so I help them dry clothes occasionally.’

‘After self-study, I would like to talk to them during the break time. Girls are a little bit sensitive, but they are also willing to talk to me about what makes them happy or upset.

Sometimes I can't give them any useful advice, they still love to share their feelings with me.’

‘I really enjoy working at Lucton, witnessing their development and growing up. They are just like my own children.’

对于卫生老师们来说最重要的就是学生们的身体健康了。在我们访问她们的过程中，她们还在忙碌的整理着学生们的档案。

“这里记录了每个学生的身体状况，有没有什么特殊的体质，比如对某种药物过敏。”

好几本活页夹都被学生们各种体检报告，日常记录等资料填充的满满当当。我们注意到一个小冰箱，拉开一看，里面全是药品。卫生老师过来为我介绍：“这里都是学生们的‘专属药品‘，是他们从家里带来的，使用时，家长们会很放心。”她一边说着，一边拉开了一旁的抽屉，里面也满是药品。“这里都是非处方药，可以放心使用，不过使用前，我们也会和家长沟通，确保安全。”

It is super important for school nurses to keep eyes on the health of our students. When we talked with them, they were busy with updating the medical files for each student based on daily operations.

‘The files here record each student's physical condition and special constitution, such as allergy to certain drugs.’

‘These are the 'exclusive' medicines that students brought from home under the permission of their parents. Although some of them are OTC medicines, we still follow the procedures of communicating with parents before taking them, which aims to make sure the safety.’

“我印象最深的一次，有一个学生半夜突然高烧，我们做了处理后，带她来到隔离室休息，我在这里陪了她一整夜。”她推开隔离室的门，小小的房间里，放着不少急救箱，床头系着一束可爱的气球，把隔离室的气氛变得温暖多了。

“我们不少学生家里都是外地的，学生们在我们的鼓励下会变得更坚强，绝大部分情况下，家长不必特意赶来，除非是突发情况，很多时候都是我们陪着学生们。他们生病去医院，或者有任何外出活动，我们都会跟着，可以说，有学生的地方就有我们。”她笑着说，“其实很多时候，我们和学生们更像是好朋友，沟通起来也没有隔阂，他们很愿意向我们倾诉，不管是身体上、还是精神上的痛苦，我觉得，我们都能帮他们解决。”

‘On one occasion, a student had a fever at mid-night, so we treated her, taking her to the isolation room where I stayed with her for the whole night.’ The isolation room is equipped with essential first-aid and medicine kits, and a lovely balloon is tied, which makes the room warm and comfortable.

‘Our students are coming from other cities and even other countries. In this case, we accompany students who need go to a hospital or other school activities. Where there are students, there are we.

In fact, we are more like friends with students, and there is no barrier between us. They are willing to talk to us about their pain, whether it is physical or mental, and we try our best to help them solve it.’

在访谈结束后，生活老师还要继续伏案**，宿管阿姨去给饮水机消毒，卫生老师则给我介绍了几种急救方法。在莱克顿这个大家庭里，这些时刻心系学生的老师们，更像是学生们的家人，在莱克顿一同生活着、成长着。
