上海莱克顿学校开学至今已经一个多月了，学生们在忙碌他们学业的同时，也在继续保持着每周10小时以上的体育锻炼。在学校开设的近20项的选修运动课程以及4项精英运动课程中，学生们表现出了非常好的参与度。上海是一座多雨的城市，但这并不影响莱克顿的运动课，我们是风雨无阻的!在莱克顿的校园里、各个运动中心里，你可以看到，即使是在有些恶劣的天气里，我们的学生仍坚持运动。作为莱克顿的体育部，最欣慰的就是看到学生们能真正热爱运动，并为之付出****的努力。运动，让学生在强身健体的同时也能够掌握很多体育技能。如何超越自我、突破极限，如何融入团队、带领团队……这些也是值得学生们学习的。我们希望学生能够在运动中受益，并真正的享受其中。

在此值得一提的是，这个学期有一位新的老师加入到我们体育部——Mr Rob Williams。他是一位非常棒的体育老师和运动教练，他负责学校的女子篮球和飞盘的运动课程。他积极阳光、风趣幽默并充满亲和力，这些都源于他多年参加体育运动和体育教学的经历。

在过去几周的马术课中，发生了几起学生坠马的意外情况，这在马术运动训练中，是难以避免的。不过，在教练的鼓励下，学生还是克服恐惧，迎难而上，重新站了起来。学习马术绝非易事，保持信心，在面对困难时永远坚持昂扬的斗志，这才是真正的骑士精神，也是莱克顿将马术列为必修课的初衷。没有简简单单的成功，只有付出的更多才能享受最后成功带来的喜悦，也因此，莱克顿人不会惧怕失败，不会因困难退缩，而是越挫越勇，百折不屈。

比赛方面，由于疫情，本学期的比赛机会有所减少，但这并不影响学校校队积极备战的热情。作为莱克顿大家庭的成员，每一位学生都在为自己为学校的荣誉而全力拼搏，为接下来整个赛季的比赛做好准备。在这里预祝他们能够在日后的训练和比赛中有更好的表现。

More than a month has passed since the new academic year, students continue to exercise more than 10 hours a week while busy with their studies, and they are highly engaged in the school's nearly 20 elective sports and 4 elite sports. It often rains in Shanghai, but no matter what the weather is, Lucton’s sports classes will not be cancelled. Even in harsher weather, our students continue to exercise on campus or in sports centers. As sports team, one of the most gratifying things is to see students who really love sports and put in 较高概率 effort in training and competition. Sports allow students to master more skills while keeping fit. It is also worth learning how to go beyond self and limit, how to integrate into and lead a team.

One of the exciting news is that a new colleague has joined our sports team, Mr Rob Williams is a wonderful teacher of PE and coach, he is responsible for the school's frisbee and girls’ basketball. He is always full of enthusiasm, humorous and kind to everyone.

In the past few weeks, there have been several incidents of students falling off horses during riding classes. However, under the encouragement of the coach, the students overcame their fear and continued to work hard. There is no simple success in anything. It requires confidence and a willingness to keep up in the face of difficulties. I am delighted to witness their growth and believe that they will be more active in embracing various challenges.

Because of COVID-19, the chances of the games have been reduced a lot, but this does not affect the school team to actively prepare for the game throughout the next season. As a member of Lucton family, every student is fighting for the honour of the school. I also hope that they can have a better performance in sports training and competition in the near future.
