上海莱克顿学校十年级的学生们已经在一个月的时间里学习了100多个日语字符,由此,他们终于可以进入日语学习的下一步了,这其中涉及了大量的词汇和语法。学生们很高兴,能够将他们在动漫人物口中多次听到的熟悉的用语转化成笔记本上的笔记。在5周的课程里,他们已经将这些用语练习了数百次。

写作和口语的学习是相通的。口语的学习,比较好的学习方法还是要由浅及深,由易及难。首先学习的是基本的词汇,随后,将词汇们串联起来。十年级的学生现在已经能够用日语表达介绍性的句子。比如:“我是一个中国的学生”,“他是日本人”,“这是红色的”,等等……
语言的学习就是像是在搭建一座金字塔,如果说,十年级的学生们已经将底层的砖块(单词和字母)砌在了一起,那么十一年级的学生们则成功进行到金字塔的更高层,开始学习更加复杂和标准的短语、句子。为了即将到来的IGCSE日语考试做准备,十一年级的学生在复习知识内容的同时,还在集中练习试题。在老师的指导下,学生练习在听力和阅读上,将英文与日语相互翻译理解,并在写作和口语中叙述有交流性和有意义的内容。
Going over 100 Japanese characters in one month, Year 10 students have finally moved on to the next step in Japanese learning, overwhelmingly large amount of vocabularies and grammars. They are having fun turning all the familiar terms that they have heard several times from animation into characters on their notebook, the ones that they have been practicing hundreds of times in the past 5 weeks.
Writing and speaking are practically two peas in a pod. When it comes to speaking, a bottom up approach is almost always the best learning method. Begin by working on basic vocabulary acquisition, then start to move onto stringing that vocab together. Year 10 students are now able to express introductory sentences in Japanese like “I am a Chinese student.”, “That person is Japanese”, “This is red.”, etc...
Language learning is like building a pyramid. While Year 10 are putting the bottom bricks (representing words and letters) together, Year 11 are successfully achieving further up the pyramid, producing more complex and accurate phrases and sentences. Preparing the coming IGCSE Japanese exam, Year 11 students are intensively practicing exam questions whilst reviewing the past content. Under teacher’s guidance, they are being trained to translate between Japanese and English in reading and listening, and produce communicative and meaningful content in writing and speaking.
