澳大利亚数学竞赛(AMC)不日将至，这是一项由澳大利亚数学联合会(AMT)举办的全球规模的校际数学竞赛。上海莱克顿学校已正式成为澳大利亚数学竞赛的官方考点，将于9月21日举办该竞赛，提供360个考位。

除此之外，莱克顿还拥有多项国际竞赛的举办资格，其中*括美国计算机科学联赛(ACSL)考点、澳大利亚信息数学竞赛(CAT)考点和加拿大数学奥赛(COMC)考点等。

The Australian mathematics competition (AMC), a global inter-school mathematics competition organised by the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT), is just around the corner. Lucton School Shanghai has become the official Examination Centre for the AMC, which will offer 360 test positions on 21st September.

In addition, Lucton qualified as an examination center for several international competitions, including the American Computer Science League (ACSL), Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT), the Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge (COMC) and so on.

澳大利亚数学竞赛是全球历史悠久的**校际数学竞赛，澳大利亚数学联合会每年通过该竞赛为澳大利亚选拔国际数学奥林匹克竞赛国家代表队。总计有来自 32个国家的1450万学生参与到该赛事，新颖的题型和多语言试题让全球的数学爱好者们得以在数学领域深刻切磋，共同学习，并深刻认识数学在生活中的重要性。

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in Australia in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. It has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing over 14.5 million students from 32 countries to participate. At AMT, they are passionate about empowering students to become better problem solvers in school, so they can be creative solution finders in the future.

竞赛之路

At Lucton, students can get extremely great attention from teachers since its high proportion of teachers. The academic teams design exclusive training programs for each student, among which competition is an effective program. Competition plays a significant role in cultivating and exploring students' potential. The talents and abilities of the students are different, the academic team will adjust the training plan after considering their current situation. Students will have a definite advantage when applying for top universities in the future if they can achieve excellent results in competition.

在过去的一年中，培养计划也初显成效。在莱克顿，有一名叫Sean的学生，他腼腆爱笑，今年步入十一年级，一进入学校，他便展现了对计算机编程的兴趣，并选修了IGCSE计算机课。徐翔在课上积极又突出的表现，引起了计算机教师-陈老师的关注，意识到这名学生可能在计算机编程上具有天赋后，陈老师向学术部反应了该情况。经过学术部的多次商讨，导师们决定为他制定相关的培养计划，参加竞赛也是计划中的一部分。在竞赛主管及学术导师的鼓励支持下，徐翔参加了澳大利亚信息数学竞赛并荣获三等奖，同年还参加了加拿大数学竞赛和美国信息学奥林匹克竞赛，都斩获了银牌，仅用一年就赢得了满满的收获。计算机编程成为了他最喜爱的学科，也成为了他强有力的武器。今年，他将继续伴随着学术导师、竞赛主管的教导，突破自我，追求更卓越的成绩!与此同时，其他接受培养计划的学生们也开始崭露头角，跃跃欲试，期望用竞赛证明自己的实力，预祝他们在今年都能取得好成绩。
