50个平假名和50个片假名就像日语里的字母，可能是日语入门最难学习的部分，每周掌握十个是他们的学习目标。虽然学生们在课程刚开始的时候还没有完全熟悉这些音节，但是每节课结束后，他们也能完成一些日常的短对话，即使是简单的对白，也比最开始多**了几句，这让学生们很有满足感。

比如说，刚开始的一个月，他们**了如何提问和回答日期、星期、时间、名字、地点、这是什么、那是什么等等，学生在课上可以活跃地、积极地用日语来表达和解决一些实际问题，这应该就是学语言**的乐趣所在，也是学语言的最终目的。

Students from the Japanese class are able to practice communication in writing and speaking, which gives them a sense of achievement and satisfaction by using this language in a practical way. That is also the purpose and aim of IGCSE Japanese. Communication is the ultimate goal of any foreign language learning. Students also enjoy that when they found themselves able to solve some problems in the target language in the real world. For example, students are able to ask and answer dates, time, direction and introduce another person in Japanese after first-month learning.
