2020年的夏天，蝉鸣与烈日让人提不起精神，而此时，上海莱克顿学校迎来了一个振奋人心的消息——莱克顿学子在FIRST科技挑战赛荣获二等奖!

这是学生们初次参加该赛事，又因为疫情，赛事改为线上评选。一切都是全新的过程与体验，一切都是**次接触与探索。在准备了技术、作品、程序、策略等内容后，学生们又开始紧张地准备线上答辩。历经坎坷，他们不负期望与汗水，踏出了在FIRST 科技挑战赛上的**步。

In the summer of 2020, there was an exciting news -- the students of Lucton won the second prize in the FIRST Tech Challenge!

This is the first time that students have participated in the competition, which was changed to online voting due to the epidemic. This is a new experience, and all of it is the first time for students to explore. After preparing the techniques, works, procedures and strategies, the students began to prepare for online defense intensively, which is also the first step in the FTC.

自2019年夏季，学生们就开始组建战队，筹划作品，各司其职，对赛事充满了憧憬。当这些学生因热爱而走到一起时，学校也全力支持，希望帮助他们走的更远。莱克顿请来了专业的技术导师为学生们进行指导，校内的竞赛主管、计算机科学陈老师也亲自带队。学生们历经一年的准备，经历重重考验，他们初心真挚，只为追逐自己的天赋与兴趣。

Since the summer of 2019, the students have started to form teams, plan their projects, and look forward to the competition. These students are come together by the same interests, and the school offered its full support, including inviting professional technical tutors to guide the students, as well as Ms Chen, the computer science teacher and competition coordinator, to personally lead the team. After a year of preparation, the students fully demonstrated their talents in the competition. Congratulations all of them on their excellent achievements.

FIRST科技挑战赛简介Introduction to FTC

FIRST科技挑战赛(FIRST Tech Challenge)，是针对12-18岁孩子的国际性机器人比赛。FTC可设计性强、创造性强，基于遥控操作，给学生提供一个平台，把课堂上的科技概念运用到现实工程师问题解决中。学生面对无尽挑战，创造特有的解决方案，同时培养学生的团队合作、演讲技能、商业意识等技能。FIRST科技挑战赛的最终目标是让更多的青少年通过较少的成本和容易得到的机会去发现科学、技术、工程、数学的乐趣和成就。

The FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) Robotics Challenge, an international robot competition for high school students aged 14-18, which is highly designed and creative. Based on remote control operation, FTC competitions provide students with a platform to apply classroom scientific and technological concepts to real engineer problem solving. Students face endless challenges, create unique solutions, and develop teamwork, speaking skills, and business awareness. The goal of FTC is to allow more teenagers to enjoy the fun and achievements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through less cost and more opportunities.
