作为上海诺科学校的明星外教，Kody老师出身名校、多才多艺，教得了英语文学、带得了戏剧社团，更说得一口流利中文，和家长们无障碍交流，HSK五级水平不是盖的!不过，Kody老师优秀的汉语能力并非信手拈来，而是长期积累、反复练习的结果(此处手动点赞，建议各位同学积极效仿)。

近日，小编也有幸拜读了Kody老师的双语旅行日记，忍不住拿来与大家分享一下，共同体验上海诺科学校外教们缤纷多彩的暑期生活：

上学期结束后，我去华盛顿拜访了家人。休整一天后，我和家人一起前往特克斯和凯科斯群岛(Turks and Caicos Islands)游玩。特克斯和凯科斯是英国领土，但这些群岛位于加勒比海。旅行让我们觉得疲累但也很值得。

特克斯和凯科斯由五座岛屿组成，我们待在最东边叫作“Providenciales”的岛上。特克斯和凯科斯群岛的天气很棒。虽然有点热，但每天都蓝天白云，而且有阵阵凉风很舒服。在一周的旅行中，我们每天都会潜泳探险珊瑚礁。珊瑚礁是各种水生动物的栖息地，有彩虹鱼、海龟、石斑鱼等。观看这些水生动物是这个旅行中，我最喜欢的活动之一。除此以外，我还跟家人一起去架帆伞滑翔，乘船探索其他岛屿，也品尝了很多新鲜的海鲜。我最喜欢的海鲜是腌渍海螺，它由生海螺、番茄、青椒和洋葱组成。短暂的一星期旅行后，我们回到了美国。大家都非常不舍离开了特克斯和凯科斯，觉得它好像是离天堂最近的地方。

After our semester ended at the end of June, I flew back to my Washington D.C. to visit family. Shortly after arriving, my whole family travelled to the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean on a family vacation to celebrate my dad’s fiftieth birthday.

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a territory of the United Kingdom but they are located in a string of islands located south of Florida at the very bottom of the United States. It was a lot of travelling coming from China to D.C. and then to the islands but it was certainly worth it!

Turks and Caicos consists of five islands and we stayed at the east-most island of Providenciales. The weather was phenomenal; although it was warm, we had blue skies, white clouds, and there was always a nice breeze.

During our week long stay on the island, we went snorkeling daily in a reef directly outside of our hotel. The reef was a colorful home for rainbow fish, grouper, barracudas, sea turtles and all kinds of sea life. Watching these aquatic animals in their natural habitat was my favorite part of the trip and I spent a lot of time just lying in the water observing.

We also went parasailing, took a boat trip to some other nearby islands and ate lots of fresh seafood. My favorite was conch ceviche, a cold dish made from raw conch, tomatoes, peppers, and onions. After a week, it was time to say goodbye and head back to the U.S. It was certainly hard to leave Turks and Caicos because it was as close to paradise as I have seen!
