Society's needs are rapidly changing. New technologies in the areas of sustainability and production are required to keep businesses competitive and ease the strain on valuable resources. You can be on the front lines of initiating these fundamental changes in industry and society with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University. Offering concentrations in mechanical engineering and mechatronics, the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training and experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest and managing projects.

Technology is constantly evolving and the MS in Mechanical Engineering degree will not only help you meet current challenges head-on, but innovate the future of the industry and the modern world. This program will also prepare students for a career in Mechatronics and its many applications in society. By gaining more advanced skills, you will learn how to effectively study and implement the techniques and inventions that will make lives easier into the next decades.

To satisfy requirements for an advanced degree in mechanical engineering, you will take three core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, System Integration, and Mechanical Engineering. At the completion of these 12 credits, you will then choose an academic advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option; a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project; and a thesis option, that involved advanced coursework and a thesis with presentation.

Note: International students who have been admitted for Fall 2020 and are unable to travel to the US may defer their admission to Spring 2021.
