作为上海诺科学校模联俱乐部的成员，我很荣幸能参加2019年12月为期三天的牛津模拟联合国会议。

As a member of our school MUN club, it was an honor for me to attend the three-day Oxford Model United Nations Conference in December 2019.

**天，由于我没有做好充分的准备，在会议期间我几乎一句话也说不出来。当看到其他杰出代表所表现出强烈的逻辑思维能力，发表有说服力的演讲时，我对他们的表现印象尤为深刻。同时，我意识到我需要进一步学习并加强自我。

On the first day, I could hardly say a word during the conference since I was not fully prepared. When watching other distinguished delegates display strong logical thinking and deliver persuasive speeches, I was particularly impressed by their performance. Also, I was aware that I needed to learn further and strengthen myself.

一天结束时，我们聚在一起写**文件。在用英语与其他代表交流时，我仍然感到有点紧张，有时跟不上他们的想法，但我努力帮助我们的团队，*括把大家拉进阵营，写一些内容。我们一起忙到了凌晨3点。在这期间，我和其他代表进行了大量的讨论，并学习了如何一点一点地撰写**文件，如何与其他代表协作，如何为会议做好充分的准备。现在回想起来，整个过程是一个宝贵的课程。

By the end of the day, we gathered to write the working paper. I still felt a bit nervous when communicating with other delegates in English, and sometimes couldn't keep up with their thoughts, but I endeavored to help our team, including pulling people into the bloc and writing some words. We worked together until 3 a.m. During that period, I consulted a lot with other delegates and learned how to write the working paper bit by bit, how to cooperate with other delegates, and how to make full preparations for the conference. In retrospect, the whole process was a precious course.

第二天，我尝试着发言并提议。虽然在我的演讲中有一些语法错误和一些不恰当的动作让我感到尴尬，但代表们还是表示支持。他们鼓舞人心的话语给了我极大的鼓舞，激励着我足够勇敢地站在舞台上表达自己。

The next day, I tried to speak and make a motion. Though some grammatical errors in my speeches and some inappropriate motions made me feel embarrassed, the delegates were supportive. Their encouraging words were the powerful energy to me, which inspired me to be brave enough to stand on stage and express myself.

光阴似箭，一转眼，整个会议就结束了。我真的不想和这么优秀的伙伴们分开。

Time flowed like a river, and in the twinkling of an eye, the whole conference of MUN was over. I really didn't want to be separated from such an excellent group of partners.

所谓，人外有人，天外有天。通过这次会议，我完全理解了这句话的真正含义。我以前觉得自己很棒，进步的决心也不那么坚定。然而，在与这些令人惊叹的代表们交流之后，我意识到了自己与同龄人之间的差距。它给了我更努力前进的动力。我也明白了为什么我们需要未雨绸缪。因为只有充分的准备，我们才能满怀信心地完成任务，并以更大的价值实现它。虽然最终没有获奖，但重要的是我从中所学到的技能和获得的洞察力。因为它们提升了我，我相信自己可以在未来表现得更好!

Behind an able man there are always other able men. By attending this conference, I fully understood the real meaning of the saying. I used to feel that I was terrific, and my determination to make progress was not so strong. However, after communicating with these amazing delegates, I am aware of the gap between me and my contemporaries. It gives me the motivation to work harder. I also learned why we need to be fully prepared when things happen. With sufficient preparations, we can approach our tasks with confidence and accomplish our tasks with greater value. Although I didn't win the award in the end, the skills I learned and the insights I gained are more important. Because they improved me, and I believe I can perform better in the future!
