In cooperation with the School of Information Studies, the MALLT program offers the Master of Arts in Language, Literature, and Translation/Master of Library and Information Science (MA/MLIS) coordinated degree program to prepare students for specialized positions in a variety of libraries, as curators of special subject collections or other research entities, as well as for other language-services industry opportunities. Students enrolled in the coordinated program concurrently pursue MALLT and MLIS degrees, and will be expected to fulfill the degree requirements of both programs.

Nine of the 30 credits normally required for a MALLT degree will be satisfied by courses taken in the School of Information Studies. Courses in related areas must be approved by the MALLT Coordinator. Prerequisite to the award of either degree in this program is the simultaneous award of its counterpart degree.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants for admission to the UWM Graduate School must have the following: A baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as determined by the UWM Centre on International Education, from a regionally accredited institution, completed before the first term of enrolment in the Graduate School. Students applying to approved integrated bachelor’s/master’s programs are exempt from this requirement, A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent measure on a grading system that does not use a 4.0 scale. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results with a minimum required score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) and a minimum recommended sub-score of 18 in each skill). IELTS (International English Language Testing System) results with a minimum required score of 6.5, with minimum recommended sub-score of 6.0 in each skill.
