专业概况

在这里学什么？

The objective of the Bachelor of Professional Accountancy (B.P.A.) curriculum sequence is to prepare the student for a career in professional accounting. This program would satisfy the 150-hour (five year) requirement to sit for the CPA examination. It would also provide in-depth preparation beyond the B.B.A. in accounting for other certification examinations–or for those who desire additional preparation in a specific area of accounting.

Bachelor of Professional Accountancy (B.P.A.)

Every candidate must earn at least a total of 150 credits, including 42 credits at the 300-400 level, complete university Basic Skills and General Education requirements, and must satisfy the following:

Business Core (50 cr)

ACCT 213 - Financial Accounting 4 cr ACCT 214 - Managerial Accounting 4 cr ECON 221 - Principles of Macroeconomics (GE7) 4 cr ECON 222 - Principles of Microeconomics 4 cr ECON 235 - Introductory Statistics (GE3) 4 cr ECON 335 - Applied Statistics 2 cr FIN 304 - Financial Management 4 cr LAW 308 - Soc, Polit & Legal Environ Bus 4 cr MGT 321 - Organization & Administration 4 cr MGT 324 - Production & Operations Management 4 cr MGT 325 - Management Information Systems 4 cr MGT 429 - Executive Strategies & Policies 4 cr MKT 331 - Marketing Principles 4 cr

Internship Opportunities

Accounting majors are encouraged to seek internship opportunities and ACCT 319 is available for students to earn course credit for such internships. However, ACCT 319 may not be substituted for any of the Major Required or Major Elective accounting courses.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must currently be a junior or senior in high school (with or without college credits), or have graduated high school and have taken no college courses. We strongly recommend high school students take a rigorous college preparatory curriculum prior to enrolling at SVSU. The primary core includes: 4 years of English; 3 years of mathematics (through second year algebra); 3 years of natural sciences (at least two years of biology, chemistry, or physics); 3 years of social sciences; 2 years of the same foreign language. Minimum Language Requirements: Minimum GPA: 2.0; TOEFL- IBT: 61; IELTS: 5.5; PTE: 45.
