专业概况

在这里学什么？ This English Language and Linguistics degree is designed to give you a solid foundation in linguistic theory, and to link this theory to the huge array of real-life contexts in which language is used. Our mix of core and an optional modules means that you will have the freedom to design the course that suits you, building on the topics that most capture your imagination. You’ll study the fundamentals of linguistic research - linguistic theory, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, and research methodology - whilst having the option to combine linguistics with other modules from across the University of Sheffield, such as in English literature, human communication sciences, psychology, modern languages, computer science and mathematics.Our world-leading research, active student community and civic ethos makes Sheffield one of the world's most exciting places to study English. Our academic staff are experts in their field and use their cutting-edge research to inform their teaching and the content of the modules that you'll study. 为来自中国的学生设计 including Mathematics and a scienceIf you are not taking Physics A level and are passionate about studying BEng Aerospace Engineering, find out about our pre-sessional Faculty of Engineering Physics Pathway programme. We would still require AAB from your A levels which must include Maths. Please note that this is only available to applicants who do not require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK.
