在这里学什么？ This degree will give you a deeper understanding of the crucial relationship between language, culture and society, both within Europe and beyond. Explore the realms of poetry, prose, theatre and film in English and other languages, whilst at the same time learning and applying practical skills in your study of either one or two modern foreign languages, choosing from French, German, Russian, Spanish, Dutch, Czech, Italian, Catalan, Luxembourgish or Portugese.* Our world-leading research, active student community and global connections makes Sheffield one of the world's most exciting places to study English alongside Modern Languages. Our academic staff are experts in their field and use their cutting-edge research to inform their teaching and the content of the modules that you'll study. Our graduates are articulate, creative communicators who know how to structure an argument, and how to analyse one. They are also adaptable and culturally aware. We have alumni working all over the world in a diverse range of fields, including international development, teaching, law, translating and interpreting, journalism, theatre and television production, PR, copywriting, the charity sector, publishing, international sales, and marketing and communications.*If you choose to study just one language, you will choose from French, German, Spanish or Russian. Italian is available as a second language option only, and we do not offer a year abroad in Italy. Luxembourgish is available to study from second year.
