专业概况

在这里学什么？

Students have the option of combining the MSIST degree with the Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) for a Coordinated Degree plan. Thirty hours will be required for the MLIS and 24 for the MSIST. SOIS reduces the MLIS by 6 credit hours of electives in consideration of another master’s degree. The requirements for the MSIST are its 8 core courses for 24 hours. In sum, for 54 credit hours a student can complete both the MLIS and MSIST degrees. Degrees will be awarded simultaneously.

Candidates for the coordinated degree program will be expected to fulfill the degree requirements of both programs. Degrees will be awarded simultaneously.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants for admission to the UWM Graduate School must have the following: A baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as determined by the UWM Centre on International Education, from a regionally accredited institution, completed before the first term of enrolment in the Graduate School. Students applying to approved integrated bachelor’s/master’s programs are exempt from this requirement, A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent measure on a grading system that does not use a 4.0 scale. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results with a minimum required score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) and a minimum recommended sub-score of 18 in each skill). IELTS (International English Language Testing System) results with a minimum required score of 6.5, with minimum recommended sub-score of 6.0 in each skill.
