专业概况

在这里学什么？

The purpose of the MPH and MSW Coordinated Degree Program is to provide advanced, interdisciplinary education for students in both public health and social work.

The coordinated program will equip students with the knowledge base and skill sets to address the effects of social, economic and health disparities on the well-being of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.

These dually trained MPW/MSW graduates will be uniquely positioned to address critical health issues in a variety of settings, including community-based organizations, health care systems, health departments, practice, social service agencies and academic settings.

For students without a BSW or otherwise needing the Social Work foundation coursework, the coordinated program will require the completion of 45-48 credits in Public Health and a total of 56 credits in Social Work.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants for admission to the UWM Graduate School must have the following: A baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as determined by the UWM Centre on International Education, from a regionally accredited institution, completed before the first term of enrolment in the Graduate School. Students applying to approved integrated bachelor’s/master’s programs are exempt from this requirement, A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent measure on a grading system that does not use a 4.0 scale. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results with a minimum required score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) and a minimum recommended sub-score of 18 in each skill). IELTS (International English Language Testing System) results with a minimum required score of 6.5, with minimum recommended sub-score of 6.0 in each skill.
