Materials science is involved with all the processes that turn natural resources into useful products that impact all facets of our economy such as aerospace, electronics, transportation, communication, construction, recreation, entertainment and environment.

Curriculum

The minimum number of credits required to complete the Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in materials engineering is 124. Students who need background preparation courses in math, English, foreign language, and chemistry may need additional credits. Engineering students may apply for major status with their academic advisor at any time they believe they meet the requirements.
