The Accounting major provides students with the theories and procedures necessary to prepare them for the many facets of the accounting profession, such as public, corporate, managerial, tax, and government accounting. Students graduating from the department are prepared to obtain employment in a competitive job market, start a business, or continue their education in graduate and professional degree programs.

Mission Statement

The Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in accounting is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain entry-level positions in the field of accountancy. The knowledge and skills incorporated in the program also enable students to continue the professional and educational development necessary for successful advancement in their careers.

Learning outcomes

With a degree in Accounting, students will be able to:

• develop the ability to research professional accounting issues.
• demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of record keeping and financial reporting.
• utilize technology in performing accounting tasks.

为来自中国的学生设计 To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school (GED certificate may not be used for admission). Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-Based Test) or 500 (Paper-Based Test), International English Language Testing System (IELTS - must be academic version) with an equivalency score of 6. Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with an equivalency score of 57.
