At SVSU, the world of computer programming doesn’t have to be a daunting one. From matrix algebra to professional ethics and computer algorithms—students will develop both an analytic thinking and technical skills mindset that's needed for success. Combining abstraction with practicality, the SVSU Computer Science program equips students with skills in mathematics, software design and computing-related topics. With a low student-to-faculty ratio and high job placement for SVSU graduates, students develop strong relationships with their professors and gain real-world experience. The Computer Science program is an exemplary study of how to efficiently solve computing problems while also being able to provide innovative services with enthusiasm and professional integrity. In the end, there's no dispute—Cardinals love to compute!

The computer science curriculum at SVSU includes basic calculus and linear algebra, with courses in professional ethics and training in information systems as well as a concentrated focus in operating systems, database systems, algorithms and computer networks. Content ranges from programming theory to its many applications.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must currently be a junior or senior in high school (with or without college credits), or have graduated high school and have taken no college courses. We strongly recommend high school students take a rigorous college preparatory curriculum prior to enrolling at SVSU. The primary core includes: 4 years of English; 3 years of mathematics (through second year algebra); 3 years of natural sciences (at least two years of biology, chemistry, or physics); 3 years of social sciences; 2 years of the same foreign language. Minimum Language Requirements: Minimum GPA: 2.0; TOEFL- IBT: 61; IELTS: 5.5; PTE: 45.
