As an Accounting student, undergraduates will learn the fundamentals of business whether through pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Professional Accountancy (BPA). Both programs feature a cutting-edge curriculum beginning with business cognates that develop critical communication and quantitative skills. A robust business core builds on that foundation with a selection of courses from across all business disciplines while students are also developing expertise in a variety of advanced accounting courses that highlight the trends and technologies that are driving the profession. Over 124 credits of coursework, the BBA degree is intended to provide students with the preparation to go into an organization and make an immediate impact. Over 150 credits of coursework, the BPA goes well beyond the undergraduate level in accounting to prepare students to excel on the CPA exam and launch a successful career in a public accounting firm as a tax or audit expert.

The four-year accounting degree provides the student with a sequence of courses that is broad-based in its scope. This program provides maximum flexibility in choosing accounting electives. This program is not designed for those seeking to sit for the CPA examination.

Bachelor of Business Administration Requirements (B.B.A.)

Every candidate must earn at least a total of 124 credits, including a minimum of 42 credits at the 300-400 level, complete university Basic Skills and General Education requirements, and must satisfy the following:

Business Core (50 cr)

ACCT 213 - Financial Accounting 4 cr ACCT 214 - Managerial Accounting 4 cr ECON 221 - Principles of Macroeconomics (GE7) 4 cr ECON 222 - Principles of Microeconomics 4 cr

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must currently be a junior or senior in high school (with or without college credits), or have graduated high school and have taken no college courses. We strongly recommend high school students take a rigorous college preparatory curriculum prior to enrolling at SVSU. The primary core includes: 4 years of English; 3 years of mathematics (through second year algebra); 3 years of natural sciences (at least two years of biology, chemistry, or physics); 3 years of social sciences; 2 years of the same foreign language. Minimum Language Requirements: Minimum GPA: 2.0; TOEFL- IBT: 61; IELTS: 5.5; PTE: 45.
