The English major at Sacred Heart prepares students personally and professionally for the world beyond college. The diverse curriculum in languages, literatures, cultures, and creative expression prepares students for life long learning and success in a variety of advanced degrees and professions.

- Gain experience writing, editing, and publishing through an internship with Vista’s Magazine, SHU’s online literary journal, or Mud Magazine, an internship program founded by SHU English alum, Hector Gutierrez
- Have the chance to showcase research in The Sacred Heart University Scholar, an e-journal dedicated to the research of our undergraduate students.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants have completed the equivalent of a United States secondary-school education (approximately twelve years of formal education) and have the appropriate diploma or satisfactory results on leaving examinations. English Language Requirements: TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test or 80 on the TOEFL iBT; IELTS – 6.5 PTE – 62; iTEP – 5; ELS English for Academic Purposes - Level 112; Education First (EF) - C1; Cambridge Advanced English – 58; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) – 5.5; Cambridge Certificate in Proficiency in English (CPE) – 5.5.
