Q1. What do you like about North Cross School?

"Students and staff are all friendly. They greeted and smiled towards me when I was walking in campus." ------Howard

"My favorite place is the athletic center. It opens every day and you can do whatever sport you want." ------ Thomas

Q2.What do you think of Virginia?

"You will love theplace if you heard a song named County Road."------ Howard

Q3. Did you get along well with your homestay family?

"I spent two and half weeks with the Swisher family and had fun with them. My host Dad dropped us at school and mom picked us every night. I’m so lucky to be their lovely 2-week-daughter." ------ Sophia

"They took me to church every Saturday. Very nice." ------ Rose

Q4. How’s the college tour?

"As a pre-senior student, it is indeed very treasurable for me to visit those great schools. I love how UVA is surrounded by the beautiful town which is full of many gourmet restaurants and many unique clothing stores; I love how William and Mary keeps the campus seem to be the same ways it was in the past four centuries but also at the same time keeps renovating its facilities and equipment inside the buildings; I love the church in Wake Forest University and how green the whole campus is! However, all of those are only the tip of an iceberg." ------ Carly

Q5. Any special experience you want to share with us?

"Who doesn’t want to be on TV? Having the chance that a local news program interviewed us as a whole group, I honorably got invited to do an individual interview after we finished the group one. Initially, I want kind of nervous and my mind just went blank; however, after several questions, I feel not anxious at all—that is a screen after all. Behind that screen, I have the chance to share how well I got along with the people here, how I like the environment here and what my dream is--- what a chance! After one week or so, I was totally proud of myself when finally seeing myself on a news channel! This is indeed one of the most special memories I had in America and will be one of them always."

Q6. Do you have any advice for 9th and 10th graders?

"Host families will be very nice. Prepare a small gift for them." ------ Jason

"Don’t worry even if your English is not good. People there are good listeners. "------- Evan

"You can never imagine how much you can learn in three weeks. Be excited!" ------ Sophia
