专业概况

在这里学什么？ Physics at Sheffield gives you hands-on experience working with leading academics on real research projects. We teach the IT and programming skills that you’ll need for a career in industrial research. And there are plenty of opportunities for fieldwork: investigating dark matter 1km underground at Boulby Mine, or 2,400m above sea level at an observatory in the Canary Islands. We also send students to CERN in Geneva, for work placements and visits.The three-year BSc focuses on the fundamental knowledge and skills every physicist needs. If you’re interested in a research career, you might want to consider the four-year MPhys, which includes more research experience and the chance to study some topics in greater depth.Many of our graduates become research scientists in academia and industry. Others go into aerospace, telecommunications, defence and energy. Employers include Ernst & Young, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Toshiba and the Home Office.

为来自中国的学生设计 including Mathematics and a scienceIf you are not taking Physics A level and are passionate about studying BEng Aerospace Engineering, find out about our pre-sessional Faculty of Engineering Physics Pathway programme. We would still require AAB from your A levels which must include Maths. Please note that this is only available to applicants who do not require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK.
