The combined Five-year BS/MS in Civil Engineering will build your career from the foundation to the top floor by accelerating your studies, saving you both time and money. Whether you are interested in creating modern structures of the future, rebuilding after disasters, or upgrading outdated infrastructure, the market for civil engineers is growing every day. The combined program at Western New England University will prepare you faster with the latest technology and engineering best practices so that you can take advantage of waiting opportunities.

Civil engineers build the foundation of our infrastructure, from railways to highways and water treatment plants. This work is vital to keep our society moving, and the MS in Civil Engineering will give you the knowledge and the experience to take on the challenge.

CURRICULUM

As an undergraduate student, you may concentrate in Civil, Environmental, Reservoir, and Railway Engineering. For your graduate studies, you will take five core courses in Construction Management, Solid Mechanics or Advanced Green and Sustainable Civil Engineering, Finite Element and Numerical Analysis, (Design of Experiments, and Engineering Management or Project Management. You will then choose an advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option; a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project; and a thesis option, that involved advanced coursework and a thesis with presentation.

Note: International students who have been admitted for Fall 2020 and are unable to travel to the US may defer their admission to Spring 2021.
