Why do we teach science?

A good teacher helps a student gain the skills and knowledge they need for their future lives. To do their job well and be best prepared for their adult life.

Science is the study of the world around us and how it works.

In biology we study how living things work

In chemistry we learn how chemicals are structured and how the combine and interact.

In physics we study how things move and work. How forces, such as gravitational, electrical and magnetic behave and how to use them.

Out of science grows medicine, engineering and technology.

Science and technology is the cause of our changing world and what we need to learn to best be prepared to live in it.
