专业概况

在这里学什么？

The media arts and science program focuses on creativity and digital storytelling while enhancing contemporary career-building skills. Media arts and science students produce dynamic websites, Smartphone apps, interactive education, 3D motion graphics, digital illustrations and animations, serious and entertaining games, audio, and video.

Our program is designed to be flexible, with ample opportunity to concentrate or broaden your studies in one or more specialty areas. Some students develop a passion for a particular specialty, while others aim to become mixed-media virtuosos. Our specialty areas include:

• 3-D Graphics and Animation
• Digital Storytelling
• Game Design and Development
• Video Production and Sound Design
• Web Design and Development

Careers

Our graduates design and develop projects that focus on entertainment, serious game design, mobile applications, video and audio production, animation, and innovative web design and technologies.

Media Arts and Science graduates work for many big name companies such as Pixar, Cantina Creative, Cha-cha, Blizzard Entertainment, Exact Target, Pacers Sports & Media, Wiley and Sons (Publishers of Dummies books), Tour Design (Live nation), Emmis Publications, USA Gymnastics, Capital Records, BET – Black Entertainment Television, and Girls, Inc. Positions at these companies range from UX designers, to 3-D modelers to project managers and design leads.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment; No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a "B" average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. TOEFL (iBT) – 60; IELTS – 5.5; IUPUI Program for Intensive English (PIE) score of Level 5; GCSE or GCE O Level in English language score of Grades A-C; International Baccalaureate score of Higher Level English A1 or A2 Certificate, grade of 4 or higher; Freshman English Composition Course score of "C" grade or higher (equivalent to IUPUI W131) from a regionally accredited U.S. University.
