在这里学什么？

The M.S. in Art Education program is designed primarily to meet the needs of experienced art educators who have completed an undergraduate program in the field. The program does not lead to teaching certification.

Learning Outcomes

Write reflectively about art: Students will engage in aesthetic inquiry and understand their creative practice and the practice of other artists through the process of looking, reading, and finally through writing about these practices.

Develop an original body of artwork for exhibition or original research thesis: Students will demonstrate understanding of creative idea development, direction, and production by:

Reference their work in art historical and contemporary context: Plan C: Students will demonstrate knowledge of art forms, artists, and art works by referencing their work in art both a historical and contemporary context. Plan A: Students will demonstrate knowledge of art forms, artists, and art works from diverse historical and contemporary contexts.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.70 (some programs require a 3.00) on a 4.00 point scale (where A is 4.00), or its equivalent, and good standing (3.00 GPA) in all post-baccalaureate course work is required. TOEFL with a score of no less than 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT); a 6.5 on the IELTS is also acceptable.
