专业概况

The Management Information Systems program prepares students for careers as specialists in application programming, database administration, information systems management, and systems analysis and design. The program emphasizes the importance of information as an organizational resource in smart business and organizational development. Required common business core requirements, including such as Introduction to Managerial Accounting, Legal Environment of Business, and Introduction to Management Information Systems, complement courses in Management Information Systems essentials, such as Project Management for Business, Database Management Systems, and IT Project Management and System Implementation, among others.

Learning Outcomes

Four learning objectives used by the Management Information Systems department in assessing the Management Information Systems students' learning:

• Understand the leadership role of Management Information Systems in achieving business competitive advantage through informed decision-making.
• Analyze and synthesize business information needs to facilitate evaluation of strategic alternatives.
• Apply Management Information Systems knowledge and skills learned to facilitate the acquisition, development, deployment, and management of information systems.
• Effectively communicate strategic alternatives to facilitate decision-making.

English proficiency score- TOEFL Score: Internet: minimum score 61, Computer: minimum score 173, Paper: minimum score 500. A minimum band score of 5.5 IELTS is required for admissions consideration.
