A mechatronics engineering technology degree will prepare you to design and develop industrial automation systems that include robotics, vision systems and computer integration for the high-speed manufacturing and service industries.

Program Educational Objective One

The program will produce graduates that are prepared for successful careers in the areas associated with the analysis, applied design, development, implementation, and oversight of advanced mechatronic systems.

Program Educational Objective Two

The program will produce graduates that advance in their careers and continue their professional development.

Program Educational Objective Three

The program will produce graduates that understand the overall human context in which engineering technology activities take place.

Graduates of the Mechatronics Engineering Technology program will:

a.) Demonstrate an ability to select and apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mechatronics engineering technology to broadly-defined engineering technology activities including proficiency in Mechatronics design, materials, manufacturing processes, and automation. b.) Demonstrate an ability to select and apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to engineering technology problems that require the application of principles and applied procedures or methodologies. c.) Demonstrate an ability to conduct standard tests and measurements; to conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments; and to apply experimental results to improve processes. d.) Demonstrate an ability to design systems, components, or processes for broadly-defined engineering technology problems. e.) Demonstrate an ability to function effectively as a member or leader on a technical team. f.) Demonstrate an ability to identify, analyze, and solve broadly-defined engineering technology problems.
