专业概况

This course covers a range of approaches, from thematic modules that cover a variety of places and historical periods, to concentrated and in-depth studies of the development, structure, and functioning of human society. Special features: The joint honours degree in two complementary subjects will give you greater flexibility in employment, advanced study and research opportunities; The degree can be studied full time or part time to suit your personal circumstances; You can study individual modules for personal or professional development.

Once you have successfully completed your BA (Hons) History and Sociology, you might like to consider careers in: Teaching and education, The media, Publishing, Creative arts, Marketing and PR, Government (local and national), Libraries and Archives, Museums and the heritage sector. You can progress from the BA (Hons) History and Sociology to the following postgraduate courses; MLitt British Studies, MLitt Coastal and Maritime Societies and Cultures, MLitt History, MLitt History and Archaeology of the Highlands and Islands, MLitt History of the Highlands and Islands, MLitt Highlands and Islands Literature.
