专业概况

在这里学什么？

Would you like to study for a Masters degree whilst at work? If so, this course is designed for you. Tailor your study to meet your employer’s needs and support your own professional development.

This course allows you to use a work-based project as a route to a Masters degree. Both you and your employer will benefit from additional skills and qualifications for career progression.

Many of the major areas of engineering will be considered. Discuss your work-based project with us to develop an individual Learning Contract. You’ll be assigned a specialist tutor specific to your area of work as well as a work-based mentor.

Staffordshire University has been a pioneer in the provision of this course. Our success has led the way for other universities.

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: MSc Professional Engineering.

Distance learning

This course is work-based learning. We can be flexible to accommodate interest from international students.

Teaching

You’ll work according your individual learning contract. You’ll be appointed a supervisor with expertise in your area of work and have a work-based mentor who is CEng qualified.

Information will be provided through our Virtual Learning Environment called Blackboard. This means you can access a range of materials to support your work wherever you are.?

Assessment

Each module will be assessed through the submission of a report, a presentation and interview with your tutor to ask questions about your work.

Careers

If you’re already in work, this course helps to improve job and promotion opportunities. Other options are progression to MPhil or PhD.

IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each component or an equivalent approved qualification.
