10月14日下午，上海宏润博源学校总校长陈文国先生和副总校长刘刘女士在上海静安昆仑大酒店与网球王子张德培先生会面了。有意思的是这场会面大部分场景就是在该酒店的网球场。三人的交流进行得非常轻松、愉快。张先生非常认同我们学校“全人教育”的理念，赞赏我们重视体育运动和注重培养体育精神的举措，并表示期待到我校和我们的学生一起打网球。

On the afternoon of October 14th, Mr. Bowen Chen, General Principal of SHBS, and Ms. Liu Liu, Vice General Principal, met with Michael Chang, Prince of Tennis, at Shanghai JingAn Kunlun Hotel. Michael chose the hotel's tennis court to be their meeting place. The three of them had a nice conversation. Chang speaks highly of our school’s concept of "whole person" education and appreciates the measures we have taken to attach importance to sports and to the cultivation of sportsmanship. He said he was looking forward to visiting our school and playing tennis with our students.

张德培先生是公认的网球史上亚洲裔男子选手。1989年以17岁又3个月之龄夺得法国网球公开赛冠军，至今仍为网球史上最年轻的大满贯男单冠军和唯一亚洲裔大满贯男单冠军，单打最高世界排名第2，2008年入选国际网球名人堂成员，可谓是名副其实的网球王子。

Michael Chang is recognized as the best Asian male player in tennis history. In 1989, he won the the Championship of French Open when he was 17 years and 3 months old. So far, he is still the record-holder of winning the Grand Slam at the youngest age and remains the only Asian player who has won the Grand Slam single, ranking No.2 in men’s single. In 2008, he was selected as a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, making him the real “Prince of Tennis.”

此次，张先生作为教练参加2018上海劳力士大师赛，指导弟子亚洲网坛“一哥”锦织圭参赛。张德培说，他和弟子的成功，证明了亚洲人并没有所谓“天赋上的缺陷”：无论是谁，最重要的是明确自己的优点所在，并加以运用。

This time, Mr. Chang participated in 2018 Shanghai Rolex Masters as a coach to guide Kei Nishikori, his apprentice, known as the "No.1 seeded tennis player” in Asia, throughout the competitions. Michael Chang said that both his own success and that of his apprentice have proved that Asians are not defective in talents. Whoever you are, the most important thing is to identify and apply your own strengths to the full, and you'll become successful.

张德培先生的夫人和哥哥通过网球双优分别进入斯坦福大学和伯克利大学，因此他对我们全国现在唯一的好动网球双优项目非常支持。他送给我们的学生一句话：“ Looking forward to playing tennis with all of you soon. 非常期待不久与各位同学一起打网球。”此外，还送给我们学校6个他亲笔签名的网球。

Mr. Michael Chang's wife and brother were admitted to Stanford University and Berkeley University respectively due in part to their tennis excellence. Therefore, he expressed his strong support for the only tennis double excellence program in China. He left a message for our students-- "Looking forward to playing tennis with all of you soon." In addition, he signed 6 tennis balls and gave them to us as a gift.

张先生的夫人Amber Chang女士也非常支持我们学校的办学理念，看到我们学校的照片后，说“We can’t wait to meet you. 已经迫不及待到学校看看，与同学们见面。”

Ms. Amber Chang, wife of Michael Chang, also spoke highly of our educational philosophy. On seeing our school's pictures, she said it was very beautiful and " We can’t wait to meet you."
