我们采用互动式与情境式教学方法，以主题活动的形式整合科学、艺术、戏剧、信息技术、主题等多个学科。我们配合教育互动和情境教学方式，提供愉快的学习环境，培养学生对世界的好奇心和对学习的兴趣，并帮助他们发展其批判性和创造性思维的能力，培养终身学习的习惯。

• 双教师制

所有教师均为专业的外籍或双语老师。 中、西方老师以合作教学形式，各自发挥所长，既能兼顾知识传授和探究能力的培养，亦能在教学过程中为学生创设讨论、辩论、演讲等中、英双语实践机会，以增强学生综合运用各科知识去理解世界、解决问题的能力。

小学课程设置

课程提供英语、数学、语文、主题课，以及音乐、体育、视觉艺术、戏剧、品格发展。学校为一至三年级学生专设小提琴课。其中英语、音乐、体育、戏剧、视觉艺术课程为外籍教师全英文授课;数学、主题课、品格发展为中外籍教师合作教学;语文和小提琴课为中国教师授课。

Primary

YWIES Yantai programme integrates the essence of the Chinese National Curriculum and the international curriculum. Apart from intensive, required courses (e.g. mathematics),YWIES Yantai Lingang develops bilingual abilities and multicultural prospective of students, and offers promising study pathways for children who plan to pursue international education or continue with the Chinese National Curriculum in the future.

•Project-Based Learning

YWIES Yantai Lingang integrates subjects like Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Society into project-based learning. We adapt interactive and situational teaching approach in education. A joyful learning environment cultivates students’ curiosity about the world and interests in learning, helps them develop critical and creative thinking skills, and nurtures the habit of lifelong learning.

•Co-Teaching Model

All Primary teachers in YWIES Yantai Lingang are professional foreign or bilingual teachers. The Co-Teachers share equal authority in the classroom. They plan together and share the same responsibility in the classroom. Through the Co-Teaching model, foreign and the bilingual teachers will work closely together to impart not only knowledge but their best to the students.

•Student-Centred Approach

The school develops a nurturing, friendly and attractive learning environment. Small class teaching ensures that every child’s needs are taken care of. Using a student-centred approach, our teachers make the module to best fit our students. The curriculum effectively enhances students’ English communication skills, use of English, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Curriculum of Primary

English, Music, Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Art which will be taught by foreign teachers; Mathematics, Theme, Character Development will be taught by both Chinese and foreign teachers as co-teaching; Chinese and Violin will be taught by Chinese teachers. We provide violin course in lower Years.
